Most Terrifying Video on Global Warming
This is a video by a high school science teacher from Oregon, Greg Craven, called The Most Terrifying Video You'll Ever See.
The video received immense attention, and spread widely.
In the video, Greg Craven illustrated his argument using a game-theoretic setup. It is a game against nature, and our choice is whether to take precautionary actions against global warming, or do nothing, believing that nothing big will happen.
The conclusion, is that taking action is definitely a better choice.
Greg Craven challenged people to find flaws in his arguments, if any.

I've listen to your comments on gobal warming and I must say that it is simple and to the point. But what happens if we do everything we can in column "A", bottom box and everything in column "B", bottom box still happens? What if the earth is still going through one of its never ending climatic changes? And there is nothing we can do to stop these changes? I believe, as many scientists do, that the earth is just doing one of these changes and there is nothing that us humans can do to stop these changes? I belive other scentists have proven that this warming has happened before and is a normal occurance. I believe that a lot of naysayers think "the sky is falling", alarmists that pick a side and no matter what anyone says, say, their side is right. The good Lord will look after us and it is going to be whatever it is going too be and nothing any of use do will change anything that is going to happen.

Many things have happened before, including ice ages, earth quakes, tsunamis, volcano eruptions. The fact that it has happened before does not make them less terrifying, and we should strive to make them less painful. In the case of global warming, the causes are purely our own doing, we do not deserve to be salvaged if we do not ourselves rectify our selfish ways with nature.
It is pretty clear to me that the science is all on the side of the effects that we are having on the climate change that is well documented as happening. The this all has happened before argument usually can be traced to people in the employ of the oil companies and similar biased sources.
The only flaw I can see in his argument is that the risk of doing something to slow down global warming is economic disaster.
Quite the opposite seems to be true. In New Mexico the economy has grown and prospered with new clean energy technology. There are new jobs, new products and expansion of the economy. See the news on the compressed air car on TreeHugger.com (do a search on compressed air cars to get videos and articles) look into solar energy on roofs. AMorey Lovins has calculations that show that the sun radiates enough energy every day to power more that at least twic ur needs. (My memory on the exact amount may be wrong but it was a very high amount)
Then there are the added health benefits. Neither solar panels or compressed air cars emit any pollutants at all, none! Think what this means for our health; no more smog, no more causes for many diseases, cleaner houses and environment, cleaner waterways, no more coal mine disasters. I am sure there are more benefits but ecomomic disaster is not one of the likely problems. It is true that the coal and gas companies
will have their incredible profits reduced but it might be a good experience for them to live more cleanly as well....
